Overview:Towards the end of the 1970s, when VHS entered the market and video stores were springing up in West Germany, the conquest of the living room began. In 1984, ZDF conducted research into the extent to which brutal films had an influence on children and young people and the extent to which censorship authorities, schools and parents had to counteract this.
